Triund Trek

Triund Trek; It’s going to be my 1st Travel blog and I really hope you enjoy reading it.

I thought of sharing my experience of Triund Trek with all of you. It was March 2016 when we went for our trek. This was my first ever trek and yes I was quite apprehensive about the decision.

Truind hill is located at a height of about 2,842 meters above the sea level and with a distance about 9kms from McLeodganj (which is located at a height of 2,082 meters above the sea level) and 7 kms from the Dharmshala.

It was a 4 days and 3 nights road trip. We stayed two nights at McLeodganj and one night at Triund. We started our trek from Shri Galu Devi Temple. It takes you 3 to 4 hours to complete the trek depending upon one’s stamina. We reached in 3 hours and while coming down it took us 2 hours. Not bad I guess! 😉

Triund is the crown jewel situated in the laps of Dhauladhar mountains, it has the most mesmerising view of the Dhauladhar mountains on one side and Kangra valley on the other and thus it attracts a lot of tourists every year from all over the world hence it’s a very popular treak.

On your way to Triund, you will cross two refreshment shops; Magic View Cafe at a height of 2500 meters and the other one is the Snowline cafe at a height of 32,00. We relax there for a while and enjoyed our Mountain wali Maggi with a breathtaking view.

Triund  trek is not a difficult trek as such. It is a small trek and can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups.

The 22 curves! Now that’s the catch!!!

Trek is quite easy all the way but the last one kilometre may require an extra effort, the last one kilometre is popularly know as the “22 curves” as it has 22 tiring  curves before you finally reach Triund.

And to get this view, that one kilometre should never be the stoppage!

At the starting of my blog, I said that I was quite apprehensive about my decision of going for the trek, but at the end I felt proud of myself that I took this decision and made myself able to enjoy the nature and the beauty of mountains at its best! 😀 ❤

If you liked reading my travel blog, do share and like. Feel free to comment below your experience of Triund or any other suggestions. 🙂

      1. That’s a great place to explore .. I’ve been there twice. It may be bit hot in day time now but evening and morning time are going to be real fun. In fact I happened to be there just a week ago ..
